How far do roller blinds stick out?
A roller blind's brackets typically protrude by approximately 55mm when top fixed (attached to the lintel of the window) or approximately 75mm when face fixed (attached to the frame of the window).Make sure to take special note of any window handles or vents or anything else that sticks out that would prevent the blind on its way up or down.
Do roller blinds get dusty?
Roller blinds should be vacuumed on occasion. A duster is not advised as the suction of the vacuum is far more effective at removing dust than using a duster.
Can you use curtains with a roller blind?
Absolutely! It can provide more options for blocking light and increasing privacy choices and allows you to extend your style choices within your home.
Will roller blinds go mouldy in the bathroom?
Standard roller blinds will go mouldy in any high moisture environment. However, we do have a number of roller blinds that are moisture proof, specifically made for such environments, simply ask our Sales Executive about them.
Should roller blinds be able to touch the window sill?
To ensure the least amount of light leakage, it is preferrable that roller blinds rest on the window sill when fully extended.
Can you see through roller blinds from the outside?
No, people will not be able to see anything from the outside, even at night.
How long will roller blinds take to install?
A single roller blind should take around 5-10 minutes to install.
How long should roller blinds last?
Made to measure roller blinds should easily last 10 years if they are well maintained and not subject to damp conditions. Ready made blinds will typically only last 2-5 years.
Should roller blinds be fitted inside or outside the window recess?
We recommend that most blinds are fitted within the recess of the window, with the exception of Roman blinds.
